Wer denkt Was

Wer denkt Was

“wer denkt was” is a solution provider for participatory software, that applies to both the public and the corporate sector. Municipalities utilize participatory software for crowd-sourced idea or complaint management and also participatory budgeting. But also in a corporate environment the usage of social software within a so called Enterprise 2.0 can leverage the valuable ideas of the staff.

Project: "wer denkt was"

“wer denkt was” offers solutions for E-Participation like mobile reporting of defects in public infrastructure via an iPhone App, that allows citizens easily to give notice of pot holes, graffiti and garbage to their local urban Administration. For idea and complaint management scenarios “wer denkt was” deploys a generic online discussion platform that is scalable, lean and quickly leading to results. In bigger municipalities or companies, the mayor or CEO can leverage the full potential of his/her staff or citizenship by introducing online office hours to allow all users independent from time and location to ask questions and submit ideas.

From space to industry

Space technology and expertise are deeply integrated into the system.
Currently GPS is used in mobile devices to code the data immediately together with its geo coordinates. Later the Galileo navigation system could be integrated.

ESA Business Incubation

"wer denkt was" is hosted at ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Darmstadt, run by the German company cesah. This has provided the opportunity to consult ESA experts who have supported with technology insights and ideas to improve the system.
In addition, especially the support provided by cesah in relation to general business activities has been very helpful.
