Dear Hackathon Community,
You know the energy of a hackathon: new connections, unexpected ideas and that moment when your solution starts coming together. Ready to experience it again?
From 27–29 November 2026, join us in Darmstadt for the 12th CASSINI Hackathon – EU Space for Peace and Resilience. Across one intensive weekend, turn European space technology into solutions that help protect people, safeguard essential services and respond to real threats.
Three challenges.
Which one will you take on?
🛰️ Cybersecurity for space-based strategic enablers
What happens when a navigation signal can no longer be trusted? Use EU space data to detect manipulation, identify anomalies and make critical services more resilient.
🚨 Space-enabled crisis response and civil resilience
When a crisis hits, every decision counts. Help emergency teams assess damage, find safer routes and protect communities using satellite data.
🌍 Countering transnational crime and terrorism with space data
What if suspicious activity could be spotted sooner? Develop solutions that reveal smuggling patterns, monitor vulnerable infrastructure and help counter cross-border threats.
Bring your ideas. Get expert support.
You’ll work alongside mentors from space, business and security, with workshops and practical guidance to help you develop your concept, shape a business model and deliver your final pitch. Preparatory online training will help you get started with EU space data.
Compete for prizes — and take your idea further.
🥇 €1,500 · 🥈 €1,000 · 🥉 €500 in local cash prizes.
Support for local winning teams includes 20 hours of mentoring and investment-readiness support from FUTURY CAPITAL. At European level, further prizes of €5,000, €3,000 and €1,000 await, alongside six months of CASSINI expert mentoring for the three overall winning teams.
